"It is a very unclean property . The wooden flooring is stain everywhere . The upholstery is dirty . Bed sheets were clean so slept . Thankfully stayed only one night"

"Family run hotel, and the staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. Older building, with exposed beams in very large rooms. Limited electrical sockets, none in bathroom and none near the mirror outside the bathroom which made it difficult to dry/style hair, but not impossible. I used a hand mirror propped a window, which was near a socket. Otherwise a delightful stay."

"We stay at this hotel three or four times a year. The reception staff are always helpful & there's a welcoming atmosphere in the foyer. Unfortunately for us, the room we had booked wasn't what we we were allocated & the hotel was completely full. However, the receptionist, in lieu of compensation, provided us with a free breakfast for the following morning, which was much appreciated."

"Everything about it was lovely and highly recommended! The heater was on which made the room hot. But we were able to turn it off and could sleep with windows open. Thank goodness it was cold outside. One cannot shift to AC mode."

"We chose the hotel on the basis of the photos of the old monastery and its cloisters, and it didn’t disappoint. An initial problem with our allocated accommodation was quickly and efficiently dealt with, and we were given a very pleasant two bedroomed apartment on the first floor (easily accessible by lift for anyone with limited mobility) with seating area, dining table and kitchenette. There was a large bathroom with walk-in shower and a separate loo, which was handy for four people sharing. Everything was immaculately clean. Our only quibble was a lack of anywhere to hang clothes, particularly as the rooms were big enough to accommodate at least a rail with hangers. The location of the hotel is excellent - just a stone’s throw from the Place des Cordeliers and within easy walking distance of the fantastic Place de la Libération and the palace of the Dukes of Burgundy. The breakfast, served in one of the vaulted rooms of the monastery, was really excellent. A generous, comprehensive selection of high quality food which set us up for the day."
