I was without a car, and L'Abete is a quarter to a half mile away from the nearest good restaurants and sites. But it was a nice stay; and even better if you want some quiet rest time!"

Lots of history around. Excellent city vibe. Great dining options. 15 min from the closest beach. Very convenient if you are looking for a place to sleep and explore the island during the day. "Rooms very basic - only 1 plug in room for tv behind furniture so not easy for charging. Reception staff were just ok - wouldn't let us use outdoor pool at 8.10pm after arrival in motorbike gear in 33° - which would have been a godsend (closed 10 mins prior). Was main reason we booked this place. The restaurant was good - excellent pizza and good prices."
