The staff was super excellent with me and my family. I needed nothing while there during my stay. I was forced to stay there due to a bad booking with Expedia and I was more than satisfied with the help this property gave us. We had a great vacation due to this Hotel.

The hotel is pretty much falling apart. They ran out of hot eggs or didn’t provide them the days we were there, coffee was cold. Staff was nice but the property is not in great shape. The location was close to the beach so that’s a plus.

La Quinta was convenient and we stay here because we travel with our dog. They charge $25 to put us in a pet friendly room that was in terrible condition. Rooms were clean and cold but the walls and furniture had been chewed by a previous dog.

Check-in took long , the baseboards were dirty behind the bed stand looked like mole. The bedsheets had holes, the hallway had a strong smell, breakfast was horribly limited they ran out off eggs. My key card didn’t work after the first day . The only great thing about this stay was the air condition in the room worked amazingly great. Kept the room so cold and nice.

I booked this hotel expecting breakfast, and a clean relaxing time. That was not the case. Towels were dirty, very outdated, no usb to charge, not clean, and breakfast was crumbs legit crumbs.

Beware

Staff was friendly and helpful but hotel was a huge letdown. Thought staying on the island would be nice but should have drove across the bridge and paid much less for a far better room. Grounds were dirty, not clean outside and room was sub par. shower curtains and places on wall had mold. Missing light fixture, hallways didn’t look cleaned. Temp in halls and lobby was warm. Room AC made noises all night and cooled just enough for sleeping. Wouldn’t have said a thing if room was &50-$100 but $146 on weeknight and close to $250 on weekends. Very disappointed and won’t ever stay there again. Should have taken photos.

I will start off by saying, the staff were very polite and sweet. I have no complaints about them at all. I don’t know if they are directly involved with the upkeep of the facility. The location was very convenient for driving to mustang island. We heard very little noise from neighbors and roadway. Plenty of parking. At first glance, the hotel seemed nice enough for a La Quinta in Corpus. After all, it was chosen because it was the least expensive one around. First thing we noticed was the entry sliding doors were inoperable. Then 30 seconds in the building, you do notice an odor. As you go further into the elevator, then hallway then room…the smell gets almost overwhelming. The only way I can describe the odor is a swimming pool with mildew. I did not go close enough to confirm what it was, but the AC unit in the hallway had brown (rust?) all over it and the walls The actual cleanliness of the room was not bad. Things obviously needed attention (grout in bathroom & torn box spring covers). We did not get enough towels (we booked for 4 guests, there were 2 towels) which is whatever, but when I went down to grab 2 more they were only able to give me 1 and they had no more. Also when we had the breakfast there were no more plates, so we just ate waffles cut up in bowls. So if the hotel did not have that stench I honestly would have been ok with it and staying there again for a night. But I just took my pony tail down and my hair just smells like the hotel :(

Looks good on line but inside it’sdefintiely lacking cleanliness. Mold in many spots, stains on sheets, walls had smears. The food was so stale and cold we couldn’t eat, you can tel its cheap frozen processed items. Staff was helpful when needed tho, I’d give it a 2.5/5
