we got stuck during a snowstorm and our plans were shot. it didn't matter, we stayed inside and drink hot chocolate and played cards in front of the fireplace. nice staff, they kept the sidewalks clean and offered a clean broom to clean off our vehicle. it was a win win.

Great location and friendly staff. We had some issues with the snow buildup in the parking lot, and a short shower curtain that left the bathroom floor very wet after showers. My biggest complaint was the lack of drinking water - they have ice however. We came from a different Americinn 20 miles west of this location due to weather. The other property is in Williamsburg, Iowa and is much nicer regarding the beds, pillows, and television with cable, and filtered water with ice - but more expensive.

Will stay again!

Great location, nearby shops and restaurants. Loved the breakfast (biscuits and gravy, plus the waffle). Room was clean, beds were clean. A/C worked well.

Location of this property is excellent. The staff were VERY friendly. We had problems with the snow buildup in the parking lot, and a short shower curtain that left the floor soaked during our showers. My biggest complaint is the lack of drinking water. They have ice, but no fresh water available. We moved from a nearby Americinn Williamsburg, Iowa to this one (twenty miles apart), and the Williamsburg property was MUCH nicer. The beds, pillows, television with cable channels were superior in the Williamsburg property - which is higher priced.

Wouldn’t be my first pick but the room was pretty clean. Basic. I like the coziness of the lobby. We had a jacuzzi in our room that should seriously just be removed, but otherwise it was fine.

This is a super outdated hotel. There’s no hot tub as the pictures indicate; it’s been filled in with cedar planks…but the signage is still up. Weird. Rooms don’t have usb outlets and the tv has few channels. Additionally, rooms smell musky and ours had that lingering odor from when smoking was legal in rooms, I think. The people were nice and the bed was comfortable. It could be worse for sure but the breakfast was its saving grace! Lots of options including waffles, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, donuts, and toast.

Not a bad stay, but this hotel needs a lot of updates. We had "semi warm" water for our shower. There was dirt and hair build up in the corners of the bathroom floor. Cobwebs above bed. Night stand light/s were missing a light bulb so only one side worked. We thought the remote didn't work as we couldn't get the TV on, but the TV, frig, and microwave didn't work either when we got in, so we checked outlets and were able to plug things in and then they worked. We couldn't get the hairdryer to work. Staff was very nice though!

Nice quiet place. Enjoyed the King Suite with the jacuzzi tub. Glad we had it in our room because the hot tub in the pool area is no longer in operation.
