we got stuck during a snowstorm and our plans were shot. it didn't matter, we stayed inside and drink hot chocolate and played cards in front of the fireplace. nice staff, they kept the sidewalks clean and offered a clean broom to clean off our vehicle. it was a win win.

The was very courteous and friendly even though there is not a lot they were able to do? We dropped off our stuff in the room, and headed out the evening, noticed no hot tub it was removed. Not deal breaker but one of reasons we chose this place. They had a real nice breakfast area, again another reason we chose here. In the morning no breakfast, was told they didn’t do breakfast any more. When returned, tv was hooked to the light switch, bathroom light was hanging from the ceiling and did not work. Sheet on one bed had stains. They did switch us to a different room, the door handle was loose and the door did not open and close probably, but the room was clean. Two ice machines were out of order, vending machine was almost empty! Had to press the #2 button in the elevator several times to get it to work. Had to put a deposit down on my card which he said I would get it back when checkout but then was told at checkout, it would be 5 to 8 business days

I booked at this hotel to visit my best friend, I am coming from out of state( Michigan) so reading that the hotel has a hot tub sold me over the other hotels in the area. When we arrived late at night the staff at that time was really friendly and did a great job giving us information. We settled in for the night, and noticed that the cable to the tv that lets you watch tv was broken so we just went to bed. The next day, the thought of letting someone know didn’t cross our minds because we had a busy day ahead of us. So we didn’t get to watch tv the whole stay, we even brought our gaming system thinking we’d be able to watch something off there but it wouldn’t connect to the wifi. Later that night I wanted to use the hot tub that was listed and showed pictures in the description and was told that the owner decided to get rid of it in 2020 when covid hit. 6 years ago..Completely ruined my night, and made me thought about false advertising. Mind you I only booked the room for two days so it was my last night at the hotel. Other than those complications the hotel was wonderful, the staff was amazing and the hot water for the showers was really refreshing and I loved that( probably the best part of the hotel)

We stayed for 2 nights, my daughter and i were on a girls trip! The room was nice, we had a jacuzzi tub in it which looked run down but worked okay, my daughter loved it! The breakfast was good, i really liked the biscuits and gravy! The pool was freezing cold, and didnt get warmer at all until your body was just too numb to notice! The hot tub was boarded up which was disappointing. When we first checked in we had to wait about 15 minutes until someone finally came to the front desk. We had rung the bell probably 10 times waiting a few minutes in between. The guy was very nice but seemed like he may have also been cleaning rooms. So staff may be an issue. Over all it was a very pleasant stay!

Room was clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast buffet was decent. Only real complaint is location was not near anything. Nothing was walking distance, everything was 15-20 minutes by car to get to River landing, Kinninck or downtown Iowa city.
