"Our room was near the pools and lagoon which meant easy access. There were lots of free activities offered, some of which were in the large outdoor pool if you wanted to join in. The staff were very friendly, helpful and seemed to be happy to be working at the Marriott no matter what they were doing...and had beautiful singing voices which we often heard if a celebration was held or a person was leaving. The breakfast offered a large, varied selection of food for all nationalities to choose...

"This is the third time we have stayed at The Outrigger Fiji. It is just lovely! The staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. If you have children, they will be entertained for hours and if you do not have children there is the adults only pool area plus the layout of the grounds, restaurants etc are such that you do not feel on top of each other and certainly have your own space!"

"It took a day or two to warm up to The Beachouse. I was expecting more of a resort-feel but instead it felt like an upmarket backpackers. The breakfast supplied was very basic..cornflakes and weetbix, bananas, toast and spreads but you could buy a cooked breakfast. "Good spot on quiet road. Beach & snorkeling across the road. Rooms good size. The pool is nice and food at the restaurant is good. Breakfast is basic. But easy walk to a few cafes etc. It is good value for money place to stay."

"Our room overlooked the sea and we had a patio on the second floor. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. Our room was maintained daily which was nice to come back and have a fresh bed and towels. The connivence of having little shops on the premises and very local enough to walk to with a sunny view and sunset view in the evenings was something else. "The ocean view bure was exactly like the picture featured online. The hammock was in front of the bure and yes the beach was just a few feet away! Wonderful location! The bure was big. The outside bathroom could have been cleaned better as it kinda smelled of urine. 😒 The staff went out of their way to assist and went the extra mile when I had a stomach issue. "Operational staff from the village were all helpful, happy and friendly. Meals were lacking vegetables. Continental breakfast and availability to have cooked breakfast was terrific. Loved being involved in daily organised activities at retreat , including village tour. "Had such an amazing time at the beautiful peaceful location just 5-10min walk from Maui bay beach. Property: I came as a little solo retreat to take a break from NZ winters. The unit was exceptionally clean, fully stocked and I appreciate being able to cook myself- although there are a few restaurants and grocery store within 10min walk. "Paid for 2 x family vila and got 2 x standard rooms. With broken showers. Stain on bedsheets. 1 x smelly towel. Aircon remote in 1 x room didn’t work and the other room had water leaking from aircon pipe. Worst experience for me and my guests in my birthday. Need a refund for my downgrade that never happened. Music going on till 10:30pm. I was then shifted to a room at 11:30pm as they couldn’t find a remote control to turn the ac off. Please avoid this vila at all cost."
