"This hotel has a great view of the La Plata river (make sure to get a river view). The rooms are spacious and quiet, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom works well. The breakfast buffet is very good. In October the water in the outdoor pool is too cold. The indoor pool was nicely heated. The hot tub didn't have a hot enough temperature. The gym equipment is outdated and mostly dysfunctional. None of the treadmills, bikes or elliptical worked for me. The sauna works."

"The hotel was ideally located in the heart of Colonia, surrounded by bars, restaurants and beautiful views. Its central position made it a great base for exploring the town and enjoying the atmosphere of the historic centre. The accommodation had a classy, traditional feel, with an old-style charm that suited Colonia perfectly. Despite its classic character, the room was spacious and comfortable, with a good bathroom and comfortable beds that made for a pleasant stay. Breakfast was another highlight, offering an excellent selection and plenty of choice to start the day. The staff were friendly and welcoming, taking the time to explain everything in detail and ensuring I felt comfortable during my stay Overall, the hotel provided a comfortable and enjoyable experience, combining a charming traditional atmosphere with an excellent location, good accommodation, a quality breakfast and friendly service. It was an ideal place to stay while exploring Colonia del Sacramento."

"The location of the hotel on the main square was perfect. The room decor was gorgeous, and very comfortable. The rooms face onto an internal courtyard with greenery that was relaxing and quiet. The only thing to keep in mind is that the doors and windows are not wildly secure. We had no hesitation because of the area which seemed extremely safe, but if you are sensitive to that, just be aware."

"Highly recommend this hotel. Stayed for an overnight visit to Colonial del Sacramento and would stay there again. It's a bid outside of old Town but easy to get there by either walking or a short cab ride. The staff is super nice. And the property is very clean and cool looking."

"My family and I had a wonderful stay at Caliu. The Family House is spacious and clean, we had a delicious dinner and nice breakfasts there, and the property is so serene and beautiful. It was just a bit colder in the Family House than I was prepared for, so in the future I would pack some warmer clothes if staying during the winter. Still, I would not hesitate to stay here again! It really was a lovely place to stay."

"Comarca Las Liebres is a truly charming countryside hideaway on the outskirts of Colonia. Set amid beautiful rural scenery, it feels less like a hotel and more like staying in a private residence; calm, intimate, and thoughtfully run. The staff are friendly and warm, with Dioletxa in particular being exceptionally welcoming and attentive. We enjoyed a wonderful bike ride through the surrounding countryside and down to the beach, which was a real highlight and a perfect way to experience the setting. The food is outstanding: fresh, seasonal, and elevated by produce coming directly from the hotel’s own kitchen garden. A wonderful over night stay."
