"I did not stay at this hotel. I booked and got on the highway. While I was driving there, I received a call from the hotel that all the rooms were booked and there was no room available. No mention of a refund. I had to pull off the highway late at night and call Expedia for help. Luckily, Expedia made it right and I stayed at the Sheraton in Wilmington, which I loved. "

"Stayed for one night and wish we would’ve stayed longer. Everything was clean and tidy. Staff members were friendly and talkative. The history of the whole building was very unique and cute. "The hotel was very clean and staff was great. This hotel is located along Route 41 that has loud trucks all night long. One of my worst nights sleep ever. Would not go back unless I got a room at back side of the building which hopefully wouldn’t be nearly as loud. "

"The Brandywine River Hotel is close to many historical monuments, museums and restaurants. It is quiet and well maintained. The hotel staff are welcoming and friendly."

"The hotel was clean - updated lobby and dining area but our room was a little dilapidated. Additionally, it took about 15 minutes of running the shower and faucet for us to get hot water. The night guy at the front desk had to "reset the boiler" when I told him that we had no hot water but the problem persisted all weekend. Otherwise, it was a fine play to stay."

"Friendly staff, but they should have a schedule for people that have not been there before. They have different activities, but we missed out on a lot because we simply did not know. If you want to save, eat at places outside of the place. "

"It was so much fun to stay in a caboose! The accommodations were great—simple, clean, had everything we needed. The staff was so attentive. We were running late, and Christine stayed to wait for us.
