"This place was close enough to downtown and directly across from a coffee shop and a restaurant making it pretty convenient. Checking in was easy.
We rented 2 rooms for a weekend event and when we arrived both rooms had a pretty funky smell. We both had to open windows and leave the door open for a while. It may have been sanitizer they used to clean the rooms but it wasn’t pleasant. In our room th shower curtain was about to fall down so the curtain wouldn’t stay closed while showering but that was just a minor inconvenience and we didn’t complain so I don’t know if they would have attempted to fix it if we had. One of the pieces of furniture was pretty badly stained and I think that allow pets so this could be why the stain and/or the oder.
It wasn’t a particularly bad experience but I don’t think I would stay there again."
Hampton Inn & Suites Windsor - Sonoma Wine Country
6/10 Okay
"The hotel was nice and was in a good location. The breakfast wasn't what I expected from staying at other Hilton hotels so that was disappointing. The hot tub was nice but there were people smoking while there and ruined it for us."
"Calistoga Inn is a great option for a one-night stay in the heart of Calistoga. The hotel has a lot of historic charm, and our room was very clean with a comfortable bed. Since the rooms have shared bathrooms, having a sink in the room was especially convenient and made the setup much more comfortable than expected.
The shared bathrooms were also better than anticipated—each men’s and women’s bathroom had two toilet stalls and two showers, and there was always plenty of availability, so we never had to wait. The showers were stocked with towels and shampoo, which made the shared setup even more convenient.
Our room windows faced the restaurant patio and sat right above the kitchen, so it was definitely on the noisy side between kitchen staff conversations and the hum of the AC unit. That said, it was also fun to hear the live music in the evening, which added to the lively atmosphere. The hotel thoughtfully provided earplugs, which made sleeping easy and solved the noise issue.
A nice bonus in the morning was coffee and tea available in the lobby, along with delicious freshly baked chocolate chip scones.
Parking is street-only, but we had no trouble finding a spot on the side streets behind the hotel."
"The room was not quite ready when we checked in around 11pm. Toilet has pee mark on it. Sink is broken so water not draining that we have to fix it ourselves as it was pretty late. When check out next day and shared these to staff, they didn’t say anything. The room has only one robe so we needed another one to go to mineral pool and I went to front desk to request it , they said they will ask stuff to deliver one it didn’t happen the whole morning. And my son left his contact lens in hotel. When I called back a few hours later after checkin , they couldn’t find it . Not sure cleaning service ppl just throw them in garbage. Overall pretty shocked about this is 4-star hotel. Not worth it . Very unpleasant experience. "
