"The actual room was fairly clean with a decent shower and toilet and good selection of tea, coffee and biscuits. Quite a bit of traffic noise from the main road. The building and surroundings are very run down, I wasn't even sure the pub was open to go in and collect the key as the windows had bars on them and the hanging sign was empty. Needs a bit of a paint job. Parking was dodgy, surrounded by bins, rubbish and just not very clear where to park."

"a very good value for money option for those wanting to stay near glasgow. Reasonable commute by car to the city (1/2 hour or so) - suggest you go the more Country route. Local area isn’t significant, so suggest you eat in the city. Our large room got a lovely sunset, whilst sitting on a large raised couch. Quiet. (though the birds can get noisy for a bit - nothing the property can do about that though). Sheep in the garden ! Recommended."

"The Alamo Guest House was lovely, in a great location across from a lovely park. Easy access to everything …. transport, museums, restaurants, etc. The staff were exceptional. Great breakfast offered."

"We appreciate the trash being taken out, tidying up the beds. We absolutely appreciate the breakfast service from Ashem (apologize if I misspelled) & Linda during our stay. Also, the iron was top tier that didn’t stain our clothes. All staff encounter were friendly & helpful. "

"Super spacious, quiet room with comfortable beds in a great location. I sprained my ankle walking around Glasgow and one of the sweet women at the front desk was very helpful, giving me an ice pack and helping me down the stairs to my room. I felt very cared for. When we first checked in, the staff were welcoming, offered suggestions for things to check out in the area and provided a map. Didn't get a chance to check out the bar on site but it looked cute! I'd stay here again."
