Stayed one night before a cruise. Was perfect in location really close walk to the cruise ship shuttle bus. A ten minute walk from the railway station. The owners were very friendly and waiting for us when we arrived. Would stay again good value for money.

boutique hotel. friendly staff. no lift but they carry your bags up and then down. excellent for the money we paid! central to everything, walking distance to the train, plus we also walked to the port to board the cruise ship. Room was terrific!!

B B Dimora Alibrandi was a bit of a disaster. Just connecting with a person to open the place was extremely difficult and ultimately depended on the help of the next-door shopkeeper making phone calls. Inside, we found a live bug -not a bedbug but bad enough - in the bed! Until the wee hours, street noise through the single-pane windows was considerable. The bathroom was of the dubious kind with poor drainage and a soapdish and toilet paper holder lying around, unattached. Breakfast minimal. Location fine. The rest, to be avoided. Thank goodness we were headed for a cruise ship the next day.

Stayed for 1 night prior to a cruise. Yes it’s an old building and furnishings etc are a little dated but in keeping with the age of the property. This all adds to its character. Room was vey clean and quiet.. staff were excellent and welcoming and arranged transport to the port the following morning…would absolutely stay there again.

Alibrandi hotel was ideal to stay for two nights before we went on our cruise due to location. Gigi’s bar had friendly staff for breakfast and/or a drink in the evening. It’s an older Italian building and has kept its character. Could do with a lift to get cases up and down the stairs and door locks were difficult at first but we got used to it. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Verblasster Luxus -

Wir hatten vor einer Krezfahrt 5 Nächte in diesem "Palace" gebucht, in der Annahme, dass es sich hier um ein Hotel handelte. Von außen erschien der Palazzo aus dem 19. Jhd. auch ganz ansehnlich. Der großzügige Treppenaufgang allerdings zeigte bereits, dass der Glanz eleganter Zeiten schon längst vorbei ist. Es gibt keine Rezeption. Ein Mitarbeiter kommt nach telefonischer Voranmeldung und übergibt die Schlüssel. Wir hatten die "Suite" mit Balkon gebucht, die nach der Beschreibung auch über einen Schreibtisch und eine Kaffeemaschine verfügen sollte. Beides gab es nicht. Anstelle inklusivem Frühstück gab es einen Voucher für einen Kaffee und ein Croissant in der Bar unten im Haus. Das "Hotel" ist in Wirklichkeit eine ehemals elegante und mit antiken Möbelstücken ausgestattete Wohnung in der ersten Etage. Die historische Ausstattung wurde allerdings lieblos weiterverwendet - man sah, dass hier schon Jahrzehntelang nichts mehr renoviert wurde. Die "Lounge" war ein historisches Bad mit vertrockneten Pflanzen in der antiken Marmorwanne und ein paar abgesessenen Sesseln. Der Balkon war unbenutzbar und wurde in den vergangenen Jahren wohl auch nur von den Tauben als Toilette genutzt. Das Bad war ok. Dusche brachte nur maximal lauwarmes Wasser, im heißen Sommer ok. Wenigstens Klimaanlage hat funktioniert. Insgesamt schlechte Preis-Leistung. Pluspunkt: die Lage zwischen Bahnhof und Hafen nah an Strand, Uferpromenade und Altstadt. Schade: eigentlich hätte die Wohnung viel Potential.

Property is awful. No one there and it was locked Our driver called and we waited for 30 minutes and no one showed up there is no front desk we saw inside when 2 people opened door to leave. Inside walls were peeling. The representative lied about someone being there. We had to call and stay at another property Totally unacceptable

No elevator and stairs which is a problem with luggage. No amenities - no shampoo or even soap in bath. No one on staff. They let you in and you’re on your own! Having said that, location was excellent, right across the street from the cruise port.

It is an okay place to stay for just one night. Building is old but that's to be expected. We arrived 2 hours earlier than check-in time but had no problem getting the staff to meet us to let us into our room. There is no STAFF on-site but they gave us a telephone number to call....good luck with that if you have no way to call them. No elevator so you will have to drag your luggage up 2 fights (27 steps) to your room. It took us a little while to figure out how to get out of the building! Definitely not your normal door & lock like in the U.S.  Be sure to ask the staff to show you how to open the 2 main doors from the inside!!! The room could use some fresh paint but at least it is clean and no dust. The mattress is hard but there are nice soft pillows and clean sheets. Our room was next to the pedestrian only walkway so it was a bit noisy till late at night. We were too tired from our flights so that wasn't a problem. Breakfast is not in the main dining area as pictured on the Expedia website but they gave us a handwritten note on a card for free breakfast at the Bar/Cafe next door, good for a pastery and coffee.
