"The hotel on the whole was lovely and it was perfect for location. The issue was with our specific room, we had a tiny window and as far as I could make out from looking at all the windows, we were the only room in the hotel that had that small a window which made it feel more of a prison cell. We stayed for 2 nights and each morning (once at 6am and then at 8am) we were awoken by an incredibly loud and constant vibrating noise. The first time we heard it it sounded like a plane engine so we thought it was a plane flying low initially. However I do think the room was next to maybe some kind of generator/power room and the noise was potentially related to the machines in there but I can’t stress how loud the noise was and for the time as well it just did affect the sleep."

"From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly, after a 3 and half hour journey we had a lovely roast dinner and a beer which went down very well. We were then shown our room which was perfect, and matched the quaint pub, the bed was comfortable. tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, & water readily available, en-suite with shower and t.v. Breakfast was lovely all fresh and local produce. Final evening we had a lovely meal which coincided with my husbands birthday, the dessert came out with a candle and staff and guests singing happy birthday ! We had our final breakfast before setting off home, and a quick chat with the morning staff, will definitely be returning again. We never had an issue with parking as if you couldn’t park outside the pub there were places to park down the side road nearby. The pub is very pet friendly and it was lovely to see all the little doggies come in with their owners, to be greeted with a treat from the sweetie jar. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay perfect you, you really do a great job.!!"

"Lovely clean room. Staff are the best! Beautiful pub filled with so many friendly people. Rooms are a little small with one ceiling window so can feel abit dark. But beautiful none the less. Could do with a bigger tv. "

"Centrally located, this hotel has modern updated rooms, and sits across from St. John’s church in Cirencester. No parking onsite, but there is long stay parking within a five minute walk, as well as a drop off zone directly in front of the hotel, to facilitate luggage deposit. Would definitely stay again."

"Check in was easy with a breakfast card ready for our selections. Parking is limited but more over the road. Room was very clean and had plenty of extras. Tea and coffee, water, biscuits and chocolate on the beds. "

"Before booking, we read the description of the hotel and the reviews and looked at the location on Google Maps. When we arrived, we found that the hotel and room were exactly what we thought we'd get -- a quiet, very clean, and thoughtfully designed space in a location that allowed for a cheaper price. It's a pleasant and easy (assuming health and ability) 15-minute stroll into town. There's plenty of safe parking. The communal kitchen is a brilliant addition, though we didn't use it on this occasion. Everything felt fresh and clean. Some reviewers have complained about the cold taps in the bathroom, but we had both hot and cold taps, seemingly new. Some have complained about the cold bathrooms, but we had a bathroom heater that could be set for up to four hours and warmed the space nicely. Some reviewers commented that not having a reception desk felt a bit weird, but we've stayed at places like this in other countries when travelling and were perfectly happy with the arrangement. When I asked a question by email, even late in the evening, I got a reply very quickly. We were very happy with our stay and would easily stay there again. "
