Unacceptable being an understatement. I selected to pay at hotel. They tried to charge me anyhow. There wasn’t sufficient funds on the card I had it on the when they tried to charge me. So, I kept trying to call the hotel to confirm I had a place to stay on my trip. No one would answer. 7 calls and no answer. Yet, my hotel showed booked still. So, we showed up that night and she said my room was canceled. The app still showed I had a room and I received emails asking me to give a review for my stay. Well, here it is.
The woman at the desk would not honor the price I had booked for the hotel despite explaining what had happened and the confusion.
I was traveling with someone and their room was also cancelled. The woman at the desk told him that his credit card was declined.
Both of us were met with zero concern for our situation and what happened. She just stated to us that we could book a room for $40 more than what we had booked it for.
We ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere. The fact that no one answers the phone and they won’t make things right when there is an error on their end is unacceptable and raised red flags. It is particularly obvious that this issue is with the hotel and probably a standard practice due to the fact that both rooms were booked through different booking apps.
I would highly consider rethinking this partnership.
