Told to wait 45 mins for someone to come and re set until she remembered emergency key in cupboard in hallway. Flat lovely inside however bathroom lock was broken and no cold water coming through the shower scalding us. Reported but nonresponse. Fans on and off from building next door. When going out in the morning seeing the entrance in daylight was horrible. Bins and just not a safe looking place....

"This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! "Quirky campsite, stayed in the Airstream Had everything we needed for a couple of nights away. Was nice to have our own toilet but, felt the shower was unnecessary and we did not use it Well equipped kitchen, seating area inside and out. Bed very comfy "

"Had a great one night stay on 19th September, the Hotel was not fully functional as it has been renovated, so the Bar and Restaurant were not open, however we had a great stay and will definitely return. "

"Staff are lovely and welcoming! Atmosphere is perfect. Rooms are comfortable and clean Only downside Sofa’s in the lobby …. Is the only downside - no support in some of them and it’s a job getting up if elderly as there is no substance to them . Pool is ok sauna is for 1 person at a time . "

"Staff helped us check in so was really easy. Nice and friendly staff happy to give out extra pillows and towels. Dirty towels removed from outside room when dirty. Aircon noisy and only went down to 19 degrees so hot in room all night. Ear plugs needed because of noise of aircon. Storage only under bed very little space to move around in. Stayed 3 nights but that's probably the most we could have stayed in those conditions. Great location for buses into Oxford and good shops, bars and restaurants near by."
