"We stayed in the four-person cottage, which was apparently built by the proprietor, Jorge. It's spacious and eclectic with wonderful artistic touches in the cottage and around the property. The cottage is part of a developing eco-project that will ultimately be spectacular. Jorge is a cheerful and welcoming host. He made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delivered to our cottage! There is safe and secure parking off the street behind a locked gate. "

"San Pedro de Atacama has a bustling dusty and active tourist center of 4 or 5 blocks by 4 or 5 blocks....This hotel is just outside the busy center, but very walkable and a welcome respite from the busyness...Hotel La Casa de San Tomas, and the added Refugio, offer a very peaceful and pleasing place to be once one has been to the town center or gone on an excursion to the surrounding natural beauty locations. The rooms are modern and large, many with beautiful views. The breakfast and dinner food is excellent, and all three meals are available. The front desk staff is very helpful. "

Excellent stay

"Couldn’t imagine a better place to stay than this in San Pedro de Atacama. The location is ideal, right in the center of town close to all restaurants, bars etc but is quiet and peaceful. The design is simple and elegant. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, good water pressure in the shower. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a lovely wine tasting every evening where you can meet other travelers. I loved lounging at the pool in between excursions and while waiting to go to the airport after checking out. Breakfast is great with an egg station. They can pack a breakfast for you if you have an early morning excursion. "
