Love this hotel and Chivari. Food at hotel is great, lots of options to walk to near by as well. Staff is friendly, rooms are beautiful and very clean. The pool area is very nice, there is also paid parking available on site, which is great.

Just more than perfect, the hotel not 4 stars u would say 7 stars, new, modern, very peaceful and customer oriented. Everything was customer oriented. Besides being asked “who are you, what room are you staying in”- (in Italian- fortunately I speak it) by a rude member of staff (the only problem I had here), the place, the restaurant, the beach, the view was worth the belittlement. It was the last stretch of our trip after my Uncle’s funeral in Genoa, and I truly wish I wasn’t made to feel unwelcome for the day but again, it was a dream besides that. Very interesting historic remodeled architecture as well.

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Hotel Torre Fara. The location is unbeatable—right on the waterfront and along the scenic seawall promenade, just a short walk to restaurants, shops, and the train station. The hotel itself is in excellent condition and exceptionally clean throughout. The staff were consistently kind, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. The front desk team was especially impressive—knowledgeable, responsive, and always ready to help with no wait time. We thoroughly enjoyed dining at the hotel’s restaurant—the seafood and pasta dishes were outstanding. The bar was also a highlight: a great selection of drinks served with complimentary tapas, making it a convenient and relaxing spot to unwind. The pool area was spotless and well-maintained, with a calm and inviting atmosphere. Overall, the hotel had an adequate number of attentive staff, and service was consistently excellent across the board. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable stay by the sea!

Fantastic. Great hotel, professional staff, great location. Just be really careful if you need to park. If you miss the gate it's a 8-minute drive back. The only drawback was the heat in the room (winter). It was very hot. The desk turned the heat off remotely for us but it was still 82+ in there so we had to leave the door open (40's outside) to sleep.

Beautiful property! My parents and I shared a 2 bedroom and 2 bath apartment. It worked perfectly. I would say the pictures on Expedia do not correspond to the actual room. The furnishings I believe are the presidential suite. Our apartment was nice but not as nice as pictured.

We loved the attention given to the moment we walked in. This stay was excellent I was taken back by the hospitality of the Italian and how polite they were. The rooms for my family was good size clean and had comfortable nights resting. The pool was on the side of the hotel giving a good location for sunbathing and swimming was good. The only negative on the pool is that tiles are broken and had caught a chard in my finger. These broken tiles need to be replaced and maintained looked after like Italian women are or any women should be. Very polite staff attentive respecting the privacy of the guests and food reasonably good but a bit pricey because of the hotel location. Walking distance to very good restaurants serving some beautiful fish and local food. Overall I would highly recommend staying here at it ticks all the boxes for a relaxing and fun stay. Because it was good we extended our stay for extra nights which we surely enjoyed no disappointment at all. The weather over the stay was good with occasional rain heavy downpour. Just another negative the hotel management should provide indoor games like cards or family games so when it is raining we get things to do rather than staying in a room. Overall thank you for the lovely test and stay we had and this hotel is on my bucket list for cinque terre highly recommended.

Nice cozy hotel with ocean view

- Francesca at breakfast was so nice to us and our 10-year old daughter giving her juice every morning and communicating with us in english with a smile and making us feel welcomed - Pool is small but as long as there is not crowded with people around it, it’s okay - Breakfast is also quite small but it’s all you need, pancakes,yogurt, toast, eggs, strawberries, prosciutto - We had a great room with amazing ocean view Things that need improvement: - WIFI needs to be improved as we are in 2024 - it’s not an option for this to be a problem - There i was a lot of children at the hotel and so it would be nice if the hotel had more eating options for the kids

Great…after changing rooms

This is a beautiful hotel. There are some things they potential customer needs to know.The hotel looks huge but it’s deceptive. There are only 30 rooms available for rent on the bottom two floors of the large building. We booked a room with the patio thinking that this would guarantee us a good view. Much to our surprise, our patio opened onto the outdoor seating area of the casual bar/restaurant.This hardly felt like a private experience when we were on the patio at dinner time. Next-door to us there was someone who booked the room as a single guest but unknown to the hotel her family with four children under 5 were visiting. Needless to say as children do they ran back-and-forth across the area in front of our room. When we complained about this, and the staff graciously moved us to a quieter area, but not until the following day. The new room was also a ground floor patio room with a nice view of the garden and a peekaboo view of the ocean. The restaurant at the hotel had a wonderful breakfast buffet every day and was actually a good place to eat for dinner as well. The staff were all professional and friendly. The caution I would have is to check the location of your patio. On the ground floor half of the patio rooms face the outdoor seating area of the bar!
