"We had an amazing stay at this cabin! The space was very clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. It was the perfect size for two people, offering plenty of room to relax while still feeling cozy. The peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind and enjoy our time together. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing cabin experience!"

"While it had "historic inn" charm, all the accoutrements and hardware were modern and thoughtfully installed and presented. The bathroom was especially luxurious and even included a large jacuzzi tub. The large room and bathroom were impeccably clean and though we eschewed maid service by displaying a Do Not Disturb card we returned to our room to discover a neatly wrapped bag of fresh towels placed outside the door. "Pics are not what the rooms look like. Worn and tired. Mildew or mold in bathroom ceiling and upper wall. Way overpriced for the establishment and amenities. Asked for refund when arrived said not what expected and said couldn't do that due to third party booking. When I woke up in am saw small black bug on side of sheet and advised clerk checking out. He insists the rooms are clean and not a bedbug. Google search suggests might be. Left bedclothes behind just in case and luggage...

"The Stannard Inn is an absolute jewel box on the Connecticut shoreline! It is a beautifully decorated coastal chic Captain’s home with thoughtfully appointed guests rooms and public areas. The Innkeepers were so deliberate with the amenities they offered and we could not have been more comfortable or felt more welcome. Will definitely be back again"

"The bedding smelled and the mattress was old. The rugs in the hallways were old and smelled . There was an odor throughout the motel. The staff was friendly and the price was reasonable but I will never book an Econo Lodge again. Extremely disappointed"

"Amanda was lovely: very helpful and she made such delicious breakfasts every morning fresh. The house is charming. It feels like it’s in the middle of the quaintest tiny villages but Hartford is under 30 minutes away and New Haven was an easy 45 minutes. The bed was comfortable and the room was huge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
