Great Hotel

A fantastic location, spotlessly clean and comfortable room with a great shower. The restaurant is also very nice. The reception and restaurant staff are very friendly and professional.

We really enjoyed our stay on the castle property! The rooms were very clean, service was attentive and prompt, and access was easy. The castle exterior is impressive and has been well-kept. The castle interior is now more of an exhibition space than anything resembling castle quarters or museum. But again, that is the castle. The hotel rooms themselves were ornate, clean, and beds were comfortable. We reserved one of the bridal suites, so we had an abundance of space. Overall, it was an excellent value for money spent. Oh - and the breakfast was impressive! Eggs, bacon, breads, lots of fruit, and excellent coffee/cappuccino (of course!). Delicious! And the dining hall felt very much like it was part of a castle... a fun experience. Thank you!!! If we are ever in the region again I would not hesitate to stay at Wasserschloss Klaffenbach hotel. :-) -Andrew Braun

Schlossambiente im Grünen

Ostdeutschland ein wenig kennen lernen und mit der Tochter die Städte Zwickau und Plauen erkunden - diese Ziele waren zwar einige Autobahnkilometer entfernt, doch das Wohnen im Wasserschloss Klaffenbach war trotzdem eine hervorragende Option: Herrlich ruhige Lage. Beim ersten Schritt aus einer der Türen entweder Schloss-Ambiente vom Feinsten oder das Grün von Park, Wald und Golfplatz vor den Augen. Stundenlang lässt sich hier die Ruhe genießen, und die gastronomischen Angebote von Restaurant, Turmstube, Imbisshütte und Eiswagen ergänzen das Angebot. Die Zimmer sind wohnlich eingerichtet, die Betten top, das Bad ganz modern. Kalt war es (insbesondere im Gewölbe-Restaurant), was aber angesichts der dicken Schlossmauern nicht verwunderlich ist. Bei zunehmender Hitze wird man diese Kühle dann genießen. Top Service seitens aller Angestellten! Überaus reichliches Frühstücksbuffet!

Im großen und ganzen war der Aufenthalt sehr schön , was ich bloß doof fand , das Hotegäste keinen Vorrang haben auf einen Terrassenplatz im Schlosscafe . Ebenso das, das jeder auch der nicht Hotelgast war sich am Frühstücksbuffet bedient hat, obwohl das ausschließlich für Hotelgäste war.
