"We booked this at the last minute and couldn’t have picked a more charming hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. We also had dinner at Elsie’s Daughter, and both the food and the atmosphere were fantastic. We’ll definitely be back when we can stay a little longer. Highly recommend."

"This property is atrocious. It should be a Motel 6. It was filthy, there were homeless people fighting in the parking lot, someone was throwing bricks over the side at the parked cars. My grandson and I booked this hotel based of the the previous ratings. We were too scared to walk to our room. We left and booked a room at the Westin. "

"We had a great experience. The rooms were nice and the staff provided quality customer service. The location of the hotel is convenient because you can walk to the restaurants, the aquarium, the riverfront, and other venues. "

The staff member who checked us in appeared to be new and needed to get approval to allow us to check in about 30 minutes early, and they weren’t able to answer some basic parking questions. That said, everyone we encountered at the morning breakfast was terrific—very friendly and attentive, which made for a great start to the day. The room was fairly clean and comfortable. "Room was outdated; no bed liner; refrigerator didn't work; the shower handle came off the wall; the fire alarm went off at 2:30am and had to get up and walk outside in cold weather. The cost for a nightly stay is not worth it. "

"Room was clean, shower had a regular showerhead and a handheld, the button between them didn’t work so only the handheld would continuously spray. We prepaid for the breakfast and it was pretty basic, but they did have a beautiful fruit plate. The menu options for both breakfast and dinner were pretty limited (and no menus available online to review ahead of time). Overall not terrible, but for Marriott I think it was sub-par."
