"What an unexpected treasure Château de La Ballue. I had booked this stay while touring the Normandy beach landings for just one night. What a shame we were only there for such a brief time. The home is charming and beautiful. The room was perfection and the grounds were such a surprise. I had no idea they were world class manicured gardens complete with a labyrinth! Parking on site is easy - and its possible to walk from the property to the shuttle bus to access Mont St Michel, or even walk the whole way if you are feeling energetic! The hosts will give directions if needed as it’s not an immediately obvious route (parking at the Mont is quite expensive so this can save a lot of money).
