The area was beautiful, the staff was nice, the food and drinks were good, and the price was very reasonable. Will be coming back, and would like to do the horseback riding and mini golf next time!

Cabin was nice, quiet and clean. Resort layout could’ve been planned better and the steps leading to the actual steps to get into our cabin were big, not well maintained and lacked a railing.

It was a great couple of days. My 2 kiddos enjoyed horse riding and the pool! The cabin was clean, stocked, and cold. PERFECT GETAWAY!

Very nice, pleasant, with much to do.

I’ve been staying here off and on for the last 4 weeks and it’s by far the best place to stay in the area. It’s easily accessible, close to Louisa, Gordonsville, and Zion’s Crossroads, and it has a restaurant on site that is very good. I will continue to use this as my temporary “home away from home” hotel as I am in the area on business.

Upon arrival I was charged an additional $160 on top of an advertised price of $189 which was unexpected. We chose this location based on the pools and amenities for families, the indoor pool was under construction, and the outdoor pools and activities were closed due to heat lighting. The neighboring room was very noisy until 1am, so not the best stay like we were hoping.

Secluded Getaway

This property is perfect for a family getaway; I do mean getaway as it is in a secluded out of the way location. Lots of activities…pools, tennis, basketball, mini golf, horseback riding, catch and release fishing, and a bit more. My only complaint was cabin was not as described and some activities are pricey.

Staff eager to please, courteous. Limited dining: no breakfast, had to drive into town to eat. Most local shops, restaurants closed sunday and monday. Stayed in the lodge: room small and uncomfortable. Nice mattress and shower. Resort? - not really.

My wife and I stayed at the lodge from September 23rd to the 25th. We would love to come back in August to renew our vows by the lake. We just love the area and the property and the surroundings. She especially loves the horses. Such a great Hidden Gem. Just wish the restaurant was open. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Eddie and Sarah Harrison

Need restaurant onsite.

Very disappointing that there is no restaurant in the lodge. Next closest restaurant is not on property. Very inconvenient. Inquiries did not give a good reason for lack of food. There is a wonderful empty restaurant on site.

Timeshare property

This is a time share property- they immediately try to get you to sign up for a time to sit & listen to their presentation. This is not your typical hotel. Minimal amenities. Very disappointed.

One of our rooms had hair all over it! Both rooms were very dark and needed more lamps. There was not any chair or desk to sit at only the beds. Coffee station was not conveniently located. Groups getting coffee blocked access to hallway leading to rooms.
