When I drove up, I was immediately dismayed at the location and condition of the property and was concerned for the safety of my car in the parking lot. All rooms had outside doors, which is never a good sign.
I checked in without incident, good or bad. When I arrived at my room I noticed that it was next to a stairwell at the busiest and loudest part of the building. Until 2 a.m. there were loud voices and running outside my door.
When I walked into my room I was hit with the odor of cigarette smoke, even though the property claims to have strict no smoking rules. The appearance was drab and stained. There was no place to use my computer; I had to sit on the bed and slump over my computer to get my work done. The sink and bathtub were stained. The shower curtain had a big spot of some kind. The bath towels were stained as well. The door had huge scuffs on both sides of it, as did the floor.
The bedspread looked stained as well, and I had serious misgivings about crawling between the sheets. I checked for bedbugs and didn't find any, so I did get into the bed.
I will definitely never stay in this particular hotel again, and perhaps not any Super 8. I felt unsafe, and the property needs work.
