"Just wonderful! A perfectly walkable location just at the front of town WITH PARKING!! NICE! The owner was personable and gave us great recommendations. While the furniture is a bit dated, it is well maintained and clean and comfy. We booked last minute and didnt have high expectations, but we were so pleased. Perfect place to crash after a long day in Acadia."

"This is a charming place to stay in the picturesque Bar Harbor area. We were there for four nights. The room was fantastic, clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The real winning touches here are the little details and efforts made by the staff. A fireplace that often has a welcoming fire, tea time complimentary cakes and punch, scrumptious breakfasts, and an occasional offer of live music out on the grounds. "The room was acceptable; leftovers sat in our mini fridge, and a random stain marked the bed upon arrival. We traveled from Portland, ME to mark our 5 years, and the experience felt somewhat disappointing. My wife and I avoid confrontation and dislike issues, so we discarded the leftovers, and since the stain was on the outter blanket, we simply skipped sleeping with it. "The hotel was clean, well maintained, and in close walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store. My one complaint is they do not advertise that they provide a grab and go breakfast every morning. Yogurt, muffins or donuts, granola bars, etc. Thinking I only had a tiny fridge and small microwave in my room and not wanting to spend big bucks buying breakfast each morning, I bought $75 worth of muffins, yogurt and cereal before arriving.
