Beautiful thoughtful renovation of a very old building. For design and architecture fans. From the linens to the woodwork every detail done with finesse. Sweetest staff and fresh breakfast buffet on a comfortable little terrace among the rooftops.. Hotel is in a pedestrian part of the old town, in a quiet alley off a narrow street that comes alive at night with outdoor dining. Quiet but very central. Loved this place.

We had a fantastic stay at Malmo. The hosts were very accommodating, breakfast was good and we had a very easy check in and out experience. The Bed was very comfortable and curtains kept the room dark, and had direct access to old town Chania. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Great spot in old town! It was fun to experience the town go from day to night from our little balcony overlooking the street. Plenty of space to relax in the room, it was clean and modern and the bathroom was one of the larger ones we’ve seen in Europe. The staff were super nice! Their breakfast was extensive and delicious! Definitely recommend staying here.

We visited Chania in late March. This hotel was fantastically located in the Old Town with beautiful rooms and superb bathrooms. The hostess, Virginia, was amazingly friendly, wonderful and helpful. Will definitely stay here again! Our only regret is that our stay was too short.

The Staff is absolutely incredible - the hotel is a Boutique hotel with reasonably spacious rooms - perfectly maintained! The Breakfast was wonderful. The location could not be beat.

Extremely clean, new facility. The staff responds and communicates really well. The rooms are beautiful and very relaxing. It is centered in a great dining and shopping area of Old Town. I would recommend and stay again.

My stay at the Malmo was perfect! From them organizing a taxi pick up at the airport to the ease of check-in, breakfast buffet, and the room itself, I couldn’t recommend more! The pictures of the room online looked exactly as it did in person. There were so many dining options near the hotel and a quick walk to the harbor, one of the local beaches, and many different activities. Whenever I come back to Chanai, I will be staying here!

Faultless

Cannot recommend this hotel enough. We were looked after superbly (thank you again for the gluten free breakfast items), our room was lovely, with modern high tech features and everyone was so friendly. It’s location is close to lots of restaurants, a ten minute walk to the Venetian harbour. Would definitely stay again when revisiting Chania.

The Malmo Historic Hotel was beautifully designed and maintained and the staff were friendly and so helpful. We enjoyed having our tasty breakfasts on the little sun terrace every morning, as well as being so close to so many amazing places to eat! The hotel is great, the location, the staff, everything... Our room was a bit small, I guess it was the standard one, and the mattress is quite soft, for those who have back problems. But the breakfast, the decor, the building and the centralness of the hotel and the staff were great.
