"24 hour manned reception which was helpful as we were late arriving. Because of renovations, parking was not available next to the hotel, but didn't prove a problem. Easy walking distance to the city centre and Reims Cathedral, and despite late hour, plenty of restaurants still open for dinner. Bed comfortable and linen and bathroom all spotlessly clean. "This place is a perfect base to explore Reims . We parked in the car park upstairs , outside for free ( there is underground parking on site too ) The room was nice , overlooking the river .. from the hotel it’s walkable to the Cathedral quarter ( 10/12mins stroll ) and there’s a wealth of restaurant choices and bars there . This seemed a very walkable and safe city and the Mercure is a nice easy , cost effective hotel to use as a base for a visit . "
