"We were delighted by the old-fashioned charm of this hotel, which has surely survived despite all the odds in the current financial climate. We booked a 'superior' double room which turned out to be enormous, the only setback being that it was up 2 flights of stairs and the second of these had very narrow steps. "A lovely warm greeting from Tim, he gave us all the information we needed and when he found out we had to leave the following morning by 6am, he went above and beyond for us. Made sure we knew where all the breakfast bits and bobs were and gave us a demo for the hot water. Tim then proceeded to set a table up ready and waiting for us in the morning.
