We had a great stay. We arrived late, after dinner hours, but they still served us food, which was really helpful. Food was delicious that my kids enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly, and we felt welcome. The location is perfect too—Grand Mesa National Forest is so close, and our fall drive there was beautiful.
Anna is awesome. They did not have our reservation and had closed the hotel for the season. She immediately opened and made ready a cabin for us. She made us dinner, even though the bar/restaurant are under construction. We will definitely stay there again and look forward to seeing all the new updates.
Super cute lodge, super cute cabins with absolutely stunning views of the lake. I'm very happy that we stayed at the Alexander Lodge and already plan on taking my wife there later this summer.
Our room which was in a fairly new building on top of a hill in very scenic mountain lake setting was very roomy and well stocked with all amenities needed. The hotel lodge with home cooked breakfast being available at a reasonable cost was convenient and satisfying and in a nice lodge dining setting. We were just passing through and wish we had planned more time to further enjoy the area.
Tv broke, not a huge deal we weren't there for that but warning signs posted about extra charges for using the propane heater $250 and another charge of 250$ if 1 dog hair is found on the beds...a little over the top.
This room was above the lodge on a dirt road with limited parking. . Room was clean but s.all

The location on the mesa is beautiful, not too terribly far from town. The rooms were basic, rather plain. The walls are really thin so you can hear the people in the next room. The couple in the room next to me talked all
Night and when they were finally quiet one of them started snoring loudly. I woke up to their alarm clock at 6am. They need to sound proof the rooms a bit better.
My wife became ill with Covid while traveling through the area. This hotel, actually a small motel looked ideal to rest in for a couple of days before moving on as we would have little interaction with others. We reserved for 2 nights, the 2nd afternoon the maid burst through the door & then shut it & screamed at us she had to have the room & we only had it for 1 night. My wife told her we had COVID & needed to rest. She left & came back, I tried to show her the receipt on my iPad at a distance & she sprayed me with Lysol like I was a bear getting pepper sprayed. She ordered us out & said we had endangered everyone in the motel. We hadn’t even seen the other people much less had contact. It is a very desolate spot & they seemed like the types to be armed, obviously they could enter our room whenever they wanted, so we left. As we were leaving she started having loud obviously fake phone conversations, “Oh it will take $450 to sanitize the room? I can’t rent the room for a week? We must contact all the other occupants of the motel immediately.” I asked for my money back & she said talk to Expedia. I did & she refused, Expedia told me they “had my back” but did nothing. My wife left her medications in the rush to leave so the costs just keep adding up. If I could give them 0s I would, 10s for being nutbags.
