"We arrived a little early to this magnificent property. We were welcomed in to the beautiful sitting room to wait for our room to be ready. Such lovely helpful staff, and so friendly and welcoming. The room was amazing, and we also spent time in the sitting room in the evening, playing cards with the fire kindly lit for our benefit. This is a little piece of the history, well worth a stay to experience it."

"The hotel is centrally located in the city of Derry with large clean modern rooms. The bar is essentially the pub next door, which is quite busy. There aren't any real hotel amenities eg lobby or gym, so i did find it tricky without room servi e late at night. Nonetheless in normal hours it is great and comfortable place to stay."

"My daughter and I loved this hotel. The room was beautiful. We had an issue with the sink not draining but once mentioned to staff it was fixed quickly. The breakfast was very nice and worth the price. Perfectly situated for walking around the city. Strongly recommend staying here."

"Great place to sleep and a clean shower. Parking is free, but you will drive down a narrow alley to the car park. We had a VW Golf that fit just barely down this alley. Easy access to keys and room."

"Needed somewhere in Derry for a few days whilst visiting family. Very pleased that I found the snug, quiet, clean , comfortable with absolutely everything you would need for a stay in Derry. Spacious lounge, comfortable bed and a well equipped little kitchen complete with some cereals and coffee and some milk in the fridge. Absolutely top of my list for my next visit to the city."

"This was my 3rd stay at The City Hotel. It has always been perfect for location, staff and food. Unfortunately this time it was undergoing renovations and the place is a little dishevelled and dusty. But will return in the future when the work has been completed."

"The shower head is fixed to wall above shower screen doors,so when you take a shower the head of shower was spraying everywhere which I didn’t realise it was wetting my clothes that I was putting on and wash bag.this was room 105 I told them this but poor apology. I bet this will not be fixed "

"Recently refurbished and looking great. The reception staff on check were very professional and helpful. The room was in excellent condition and very clean. The bar/restaurant was very busy on Sunday early evening and was a bit confusing as to how to order food. When it came the food was fresh, tasty and well prepared.
