"Simply an amazing stay. We visited during off season and we were the only ones staying at the Guesthouse. Our room exceeded our expectations and the owner could not have been any kinder. They scrimped on nothing even though we were the only guests. We stayed over on a Saturday night and the small racetrack next door was making noise but it was only for a little while. "Loved the hotel, we were there for one night, check in was extremely smooth, the room was very pretty – loved the complimentary sherry and fruit in the room, and we had a wonderful view of the sea. "We loved this place! The ocean view from our room was spectacular. We checked out a few other places in town that are more expensive and the view from the Linhof is the best! Breakfast was excellent. Shirley, the manager who runs this place, merits special mention. She helped us get our bags upstairs, served us our breakfast and always had a smile and a kind word. "Great location, beautiful sea view. Quiet place. Good breakfast and great a’ la carte menu, we had crayfish. Oysters and sushi just top. Staff took us on bird watching sail trip to Berg river. Can recommend. Spa should be upgraded (staff & ambience). Drinks at Oysterbar need improvement. We had a great stay. Thank you. "

"This place is heaven on earth. The rooms are large and stunningly well decorated. The staff is amazing. It's run like a high end game safari destination. Lots to see on the property's large private reserve. You won't find the diversity and huge numbers of game available in Kruger, Botswana, Namibia, etc. This is more of a place for people who have already had their serious safari experience and are looking for a gorgeous property for rest and relaxing and feeling pampered."
