Great place to stay

Fab apartment, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Very close to the Franschhock Tram terminal and eateries very close by.

It's a great place to stay - very stylish and with a very friendly staff. The apartment is spacious, offering a bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen as well as a dining and living room. The service of the housekeepers is just excellent. The central location puts almost everything in Franschhoek in walking distance - it comes, however at the expense of traffic noise to the proximity of Main Street.

Excellent value for money accommodation

Accommodation id Franschoek is generally over rated and very over prices. This place offers excellent value accommation that exceeded my expectations - spacious, nicely decorated, quiet and well located with parking and a simple but nice breakfast. Great place to stay.

En fantastisk jätte stor fransk inspirerad lägenhet mitt i Franschhoek centrum. Jättefint utrostad. Poolen är ganska liten och kolla med hotellet i förhand och gör avtal med hänsyn till avhämtningen av nyckel etc.

A beautiful place with fantastic touches

We stayed here last week. The accomodation is very spacious and well kept. Decor is classy. Lots of lovely touches like homemade, fresh baked bread delivered to the room for no extra cost. Eggs and cheese left in the fridge. I'd definitely recommend this hotel - great value too.

disappointing

Location in town centre but incredibly disturbing security issues with loads of different keys, alarms, gates etc .. very disconcerting. It was a self catering room and kitchen, make your own breakfast?! Disappointed in property description on Expedia - not at all what we expected. Would not recommend. Not worth the charges.

Poor information

We had booked a room with " full breakfast". When we arrived we were told we had to make our own breakfast from cereal, yogurt, tea coffee, eggs etc left in our room. This is not what we expected. We are disappointed with Expedia as we did not get what we believe we paid for.

Luxeriöse Unterkunft zentral gelegen

Wir haben 2 Nächte in dieser Unterkunft gewohnt und es hat uns sehr gefallen. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist sehr schön und stilvoll und die Wohnräume sehr grosszügig angelegt. Das Schlafzimmer und das Bad hätte etwas grösser sein können. Das Frühstück konnte man sich selber machen und dafür war der Kühlschrank sehr gut gefüllt und das Brot, das am Morgen geliefert wurde, super. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral, dafür ist die gut befahrene Hauptstrasse relativ nahe.

Zimmer ist ein großes 3-Z-Appartment!

Das Zimmer war so groß, dass wir dachten wir wären in einem Aufenthaltsraum für Alle. Ein Esszimmer, Wohnzimmer, Schlafzimmer, Küche Bad...Riesig im Vergleich zu einigen anderen B&Bs in denen wir waren. Morgens wird einem frisches, warmes Brot gebracht, den Rest des Frühstücks macht man sich selbst- ist aber alles vorhanden. Liebevolle blumige Einrichtung: passt hervorragend zu Franschhoek. Kleine Terrasse. Liegt an der Hauptstraße in Franschhoek, aber man schläft sehr ruhig und man kann fußläufig viele Restaurants/Bars erreichen und in wenigen Autominuten auch die Weingüter.

Wonderful cozy and luxurious cottage

The location was great for us that wanted to walk to the tram tour. The lavender cottage which is where we stayed was very cozy, comfortable and clean. Absolutely loved it. Check in took 5 seconds and everyone was very friendly. We loved the bedding and towels, the property's was indeed wonderful. We would stay here again and would absolutely recommend it.

Simply stunning

We were delayed on route so I telephoned our host who met us at the property he arrived promptly to check us in. He showed us around helped us to book some wonderful restaurant for our 2 night stay and told us about the hop on hop off bus. Very efficient and friendly

Great location and facilities

This was our second stay here and pone or two minor improvements have been made with a few mini-bar items added to the fridge. The premises are very well maintained and comfortable. It is mainly self-catering but a muesli and yogurt breakfast is provided. It is just on the edge of the village but very convenient for anything you might want to do in Franschhoek.

The appartment was fine and clean for a night - we booked last minute and wanted a place with twin beds so that limited us. It was a bit noisy as the appartment sitting area is on the main Franschhoek road which is busy with traffic all day and night.The doors didn't lock very well although there was an outer metal frame that did. We did mention this but the manager reassured us that it was quite safe around the area. However, the information book stated that the appartment should be alarmed when we went out but we weren't aware that there was an alarm. I thought the breakfast was lacking considering the price paid for the room: a jar of muesli, natural yoghurt a bowl of fruit and small cartons of milk and pats of butter. There was a great fruity loaf of bread but no fruit juice. The guy who met us was very friendly and gave us a great recommendation for dinner which he booked for us. The pool area did not look as good as it does on the hotel professional photos. We were also asked to give a time of arrival or to phone to let them know when we were arriving but I don't like to have to commit to a time when I'm travelling and the site said booking in was between 2 and 4 p.m. so I felt that there shouldn't be any pressure so long as you arrived within the times stipulated. I didn't rate the service as it wasn't a hotel.

Perfect!

We loved our stay at Auberge Daniella. When we arrived we found fresh flowers on the coffee table, on the bed, and in the bathroom. The extra touches made it special. The bed was comfortable. There was not a breakfast room, but fresh bread was brought to the room in the morning and there was granola, yogurt, jams, and fresh fruit provided in the room. We wish we could have stayed longer!
