Otimo!!!

O Local é ótimo! Quarto lindo e confortável. Fomos bastante bem atendidos! O local tem uma vista linda, com ótimos restaurantes ao redor. Algo distante do Waterfront, bem próximo da table mountain. Internet funciona intermitentemente no quarto. Ótimo local para ficar!!! Recomendo!!!

Terrific boutique lodging in Gardens area

This small lodging is perfectly situated in Gardens district of Cape Town. Rooms are nice with good wifi and selection of TV channels. Also equipped with kitchenette. Best of all is owner Stephan who is wonderfu to deal with. He's super prompt with email queries. And will happily provide recommendations re where to eat and what to see and do.

Super atendimento do gerente Sthephan, que nos deu todas as dicas de passeios e roteiros de turismo! O lugar é incrível, com jardim, piscina, área de relax e o quarto é bem amplo! Tem tb suíte tipo flat para mais pessoas mas não conheci! A localização é muito boa, próxima da Table Mountain (1km aprox), e a essa mesma distância vc encontra uma rua super badalada a Kloof com restaurantes, cafés, supermercado e tudo o mais que precisar!

You might not want to leave the hotel

The Gardens neighborhood/district is easily the most beautiful place to stay in Cape Town. If you are fit, it's feasible to walk to/from Kloof Street for fine dining. If you're really fit and have plenty of time, you can start your hike to Table Mountain from the hotel as well. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The mattress was very comfortable and the window treatments provided almost blackout conditions so we enjoyed very sound sleep during our stay. Parking was also right in front of the hotel.

Very friendly service. No views despite good position. Found out breakfast not included on arrival. Lovely hammock to lie and read. Plenty of greenery.

Alta Bay

Great stay - very smart room (one bed apartment really), very nice helpful staff and owner, great location (gave it 4 on location only because is very high up the hill). Knocked off one mark on comfort and condition because had to use portable heater when chilly, which caused fuse to go. Beds/kitchen etc. all in very good condition. 4/5 overall.

An unpleasant bed & breakfast stay.

Alta Bay has so few reviews- there has not been a balanced set of perspectives. Firstly, let me say- if you base your review soley on the views of Table Mtn. & the grounds' lush landscaping- than five stars would be justified. However, if you include the tiny, flimsy Bay Suite & its miniscule bathroom; then you might draw another conclusion. Or if you realized your "suite" is situated right underneath the owners' active garage- you might think otherwise. Early mornings, the garage opener would be activated. Lots of audible activity there, as well. The room I asked successfully to move to, was much larger & more liveable. Unfortunately, there was no hot water in the Loft during my stay. The towels smelled unsanitary. But perhaps the worst part of my stay- not including a bedbug on my sheet- was the proprietress herself. She was very nosy- despite having lots of security cameras facing all room entrances, etc. One time, while bringing a pair of slippers to me- I opened my door for her. But instead of just delivering the slippers; she waltzed right into my room, & made a cursory visual evaluation. That was not respecting my privacy. Of course, there's also no DND sign.

God service på ett mindre hotell med fint läge med gångavstånd till restauranger o shopping. Ibland svårt för taxi att hitta. Tyvärr kraschade Wi-Fi-nätverket de sista dagarna med ett halvdant provisorium. Annars välordnat och bra.

A lovely hotel in a peaceful location.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent - the team were very friendly and helpful and the location, though a bit out of central Cape Town, was very calm and quiet, with lots of good restaurants a short taxi ride away. We subsequently stayed in a more central hotel and missed Alta Bay's location away from all the noise and crowds. The facilities are very good at Alta Bay and we would definitely stay again.
