I'm surprised this place gets such good reviews. Right now i"m listening to a the thump, thump, thump of very loud music coming from an outside event on the roof. So the hotel knowingly sacrifices the peaceful enjoyment of the hotel guests to make a few bucks by renting out the roof space. How can a hotel be good if you can't sleep because of noise the hotel generates?
Secondly, the hotel is only 4 years old, but, by design, looks much older. I guess its supposed to be a hip, urban, kind of unfinished look, but it just comes across as being tired and old looking, and not Balinese in any way.
But the location is excellent; great street, lots of restaurants, near the beach, and, amazingly, not too much traffic.
