"Avoid this one place. I never leave reviews, but if this helps one person it’s worth it. Our first room smelled like someone had a bunch of wet dogs in it, the clock didn’t work, and the tv speakers were blown. I thought it was a fluke and spoke with the gentleman at the front desk and asked for a new room; he moved us with no issue. But when we got to the new room is was a smoking room and we reserved a nonsmoking, not good when you have breathing difficulties. At this point it was midnight and...

"The stay was exactly what we expected given an economy hotel. The price was outstanding, the room was comfortable (if dated) and the staff were pleasant. No major problems at all. It clearly wasn’t the Hilton, but we expected that going in, and tempered our expectations to what we were paying for the stay. All in all, it was a pleasant stay that met our needs at a great price."

"The Retreat Center offered a fabulous opportunity for a midpoint stop. The location and property were stunning. The drive into the property offered great promise of a comfortable stay. The after hours check in was simple and the access to the room was right off the main driveway. Parking was easily accessible and close to the unit. "The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. It was a great overnight stop in a cute little town on our road trip. The staff at the front desk was wonderful and when my first room wasn't what I was hoping for, was quick to find us another with no trouble at all. There is a very nice restaurant in town, The Local on Morford! Delicious food and excellent service! A must visit!"

"Had to wait 20+ minutes to check in. Only person there was on the phone with someone making a reservation. Room was less than expected. Dining area was out of knives no regular sugar. Disappointed"

"It was a cut and dry stop, but the Non-Smoking room had a musty smoke smell as if it was at one point a smoking room. We aired out the room and slept fine but it took a bit to get used to the smell."

"The staff was just incredibly nice. The only thing I would suggest is a way to tip housekeepers electronically. No one carries cash anymore and a lot of hotels offer this option."
