Great location, next to MUA & the beach (secluded). Very clean room, not a single insect!! That's rare. Had a very good sleep assisted by gentle sea waves. I would like for them to invest in mini fridge. Other than that, highly recommended.
Facing the Atlantic Ocean, I can hear the sound of waves lulling me to sleep at night, which helps me sleep very well. While the location is a bit distant from the city center, it's highly recommended for those who enjoy tranquility. The room is very new, with many amenities just replaced, though it lacks some electrical appliances like a hairdryer and kettle, perhaps because it has just opened. The staff's service is exceptional, always there to assist me.
It’s hard to recommend this hotel. I can see the potential, but it seems it’s declined since it opened. Friendly staff. Weird experience.
There is no reception - it’s just an empty building. The rooms are of fine size but lack any amenities. There is no fridge, no coffee, no ironing board, no iron, no microwave. The WiFi has a bizarrely difficult password. There was no fitted sheet, just a flat sheet draped over the mattress with a very thin microfiber blanket. No extra blankets. No one to call for extra blankets. Mattress super uncomfortable.
No restaurant. No vending. No nice. No ocean access. The door is translucent letting light pour in after sunrise. Receptionist leaves at 4.
The view is nice. The rooms are clean. It feels safe enough. The few staff I saw were helpful and friendly. It feels like a dream not yet realized.
This is a very clean place and very quiet and i will be back. The owner and his staff were very nice

Disliked: Staff & service
This my second time staying at this place and when I thought things would have been better after the first time, It became worst. When I arrived the reception was closed from after 4pm or 5pm. my flight landed 7:40pm. The entrance gate was closed I had to open it on my own. I had to call out for someone to come and attend to me and give me a key to which ever room I was assigned to. When asked if the resturant is opened. answer was no it is close for now, which means I can't have breakfast at the hotel neither lunch nore dinner. I stayed there for 3 nights and never once was my room cleaned for my entire stay. On the second day when I came back to the room ants are all over the floor. This was just a bad experience for me.
I would not recommend staying at this hotel no more than a few hours in the day. The only thing I liked about the place is that it is very quiet. The next time I am going to Nevis i will make sure never book Calypso hotel again.
I really enjoyed my stay here, the environment was clean and quiet which are my top priorities when staying in a hotel. Though some amenities like a kettle was not provided, the staff was very kind and attentive to my needs. This hotel also provides a gym with all the basic equipment I needed to get a good workout in, right after finishing my workout, the breakfast was served almost immediately as requested. Tasty food after a workout is the best!!! Would definitely comeback here with friends and family
We stayed for 3 nights here at the Calypso Hotel in mid May. It being the end of the tourist season, there were only about 2 other guests at the hotel. The hotel is on the exact opposite side of the island from Charlestown, so it was extremely quiet and peaceful, while still only being a 20 minute drive at most to get to places like charlestown and Pinney’s beach.
We were greeted and welcomed by the owner (Leo, I believe). He was extremely hospitable and always available to help and bring us whatever we needed.
All the rooms have a large back porch that give a great view of the Atlantic. The rooms are immaculately clean, especially the bathrooms. The shower is different than what we are used to: basically the entire bathroom doubles at the shower with a floor drain set back behind the toilet. Again, different but it worked just fine for us. The rooms are of a good size, with a minimalist/modern design. A/C works great, fast wifi. The only downside we noticed while there is that the walls are quite thin, so noise from adjacent guests may be audible in the room. But the hotel does have rules about noise in the evening, and staff will make sure that all guests are taken care of and able to enjoy their stay.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Calypso, and would definitely return to stay again if we ever make our way back to Nevis in the future.
