Camp Sherman Hotels with Swimming Pool

"This was an unexpected gem in the unlikeliest of places. I was on a solo trip to go hike at John Day Fossil Bed near the Painted Hills and wanted accommodations within 2 hours. Madras is a pretty little town and my stay at the Inn at Cross Keys Station was comfortable. The inn has a rustic feel and close to all necessary amenities— food, groceries and convenience store. The staff at the Inn is friendly, courteous and helpful. The weather was gorgeous. I was scheduled to spend 2 nights and ended up staying 4. Worth it! Will definitely be staying again. "
