"We arrived via the not fit to drive at night broken road and upon arriving decided NOT to stay even though we had paid. The hotel pics must be very old as it looks like something from a horror film. Flaky paint, badly kept gardens and flies in our room. We handed back the key and left. The road to the property is horrendous. Don't even think about going anywhere for dinner and back....it's not safe....awful"

"We were sad to only stay one night in this beautifully located, pleasant b&b. Our host was gracious and helpful with recommendations. The property was just a few steps from the main pedestrian street. We arrived on a busy Sunday evening so were not able to find parking on the street out front, but at other times this would likely not be a problem. WiFi, amenities were excellent and the breakfast had lots of options."

"Alloggio della Posta Vecchia has a lot of charm, but it comes with a few challenges. The townhouse itself is lovely and well decorated, and our room was beautiful—full of character and very inviting. The web photos are just as it really looks. The surrounding area is lively, with plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. However, getting there was tricky. The streets are narrow and the area busy, making it hard to find. Our host directed us, but the language barrier meant we didn’t fully understand the instructions. Also, be prepared for lots of stairs and uphill walking, so this is not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues. In short: gorgeous and atmospheric, but best for agile travelers who don’t mind a bit of a search to find it."

"Definitely don't judge the place based on the exterior. Once inside there was an elevator to help with getting our bags to the 2nd floor. Parking was easily available just outside the building. Room was spacious, especially the bathroom. We had a nice view of the temples which were lit up at night. Place was ideally located between the entrance to Valley of the Temples and the city of Agrigento which we were able to walk to easily, although the uphill path towards the city is not that attractive."
