Our final morning, when our quiet soak at 8 a.m. was disrupted by a young child, roughly three years old, screaming, splashing, and running around the pool area. While we completely understand that children are energetic and excited, this behavior was starkly out of place in a resort that prominently displays signage promoting a peaceful and quiet environment.
We would not have minded these experiences if we had booked a more family-oriented hotel. However, Golden Haven markets itself as a wellness-focused resort with a tranquil, adult-friendly atmosphere. For the price we paid, we expected that tone to be upheld—and enforced.
Sadly, the lack of a consistent and respectful atmosphere made it difficult to enjoy the otherwise lovely setting. Golden Haven has the potential to be a restful retreat, but only if it chooses to uphold the environment it promises.
