"Booked this fairly last minute for a bit of peace and quiet and good views and it did not disappoint! Place was spotless with everything you could need. "We had a wonderful stay at the shepards hut. The heating and lights had been put on reasy for our arrival as we were later than the check in time . Carol the owner had messaged me earlier in the day with directions which was a nice welcome. She had also given us a lovely recommendation for somewhere to eat that evening. We really enjoyed our stay. "

"We have stayed in a caravan at Woodlands Hall but this was our first stay in the Hall.. It was lovely! Everything was Five Star.. In particular we’d like to thank Will who was so helpful! He was friendly and helped us sort a spare bed.. 🌟"

"It was clean,food was very good, breakfast was wonderful. However because there was no house keeping,we didn't have clean towels for 4 days,and the coffee/tea in the room was not replenished."

"Well positioned, on the road, opposite a fuel station and 6mins aqay from Pantasaph Retreat centre.. old rooms but nicely maintained. Shower heads needed cleaning I did but not a unique fault of this hotel. Overall good stay."

"We had a great stay last weekend in this hotel. Food was excellent and we loved that it was so close to the beach. Too bad the sea was not clear or suitable for swimming… but the hotel swimming pool and spa were a very good replacement."

"A little tucked away - so be aware not to drive by it quickly on the A55. Staff were excellent and the Burger King next door was great - the food was yummy (better than other BK's I've been too). Ideal location for onward trips to North Wales"

An excellent stay

"I have stayed twice at the Talardy when my dad has been in hospital. The staff are amazing, very caring and quick to help. The first time I stayed in the main building, this time in the annex. Both are very good, and I appreciated the air con as I arrived in a heat wave. The rooms are very clean and roomy. The breakfasts are cooked fresh and very filling. After spending the day with dad I would come back and have an evening meal, again cooked fresh, plenty of choice and excellent service. I felt very welcomed. The only quibble I have is that reception in the annex was hit and miss so I missed a couple of calls. If that gets improved then it will be 10/10 rather than a 9.5."

Beautiful place to stay

"Me and my hushad an amazing weekend for our 1st anniversary, food was excellent location was fantastic. Hottub in the forrest was an experience, although the Sauna was a little too small, not much value for money we paid on the twilight package we picked. Next time we would just book the hottub. Peacocks roaming around the grounds feeding out of your hands was something else. I would highly recommend a stay at Ruthin Castle. "
