"We made the right choice with this hotel rooms were clean. Pool was a big plus for the kids. They had a lot of fun splashing around in it. Parking lot was secure and well lit. We will be staying here again next time we adventure to Eureka and we recommend the hotel to our friends."

"We came for 2 promotion ceremonies a week a part. The hospitality and staff were amazing. Always friendly very helpful. The area was clean all the time. Breakfast was good staff kept up with food and cleanliness will definitely come again and encourage others to stay as well. "

"I would highly recommend Blue Lakes! Every staff member I met was friendly, very helpful and seemed to enjoy working there. The room was beautiful- new renovations great shower with shampoo, conditioner, body gel, hair dryer etc. More than I needed for my quick one night stay. People seemed to be enjoying the pool, but I didn’t have time to jump in! I will definitely stay there again. They also have EV charging close by- a big plus!"

"The hotel was nice with nice amenities. The Keurig in the bathroom was gross though. We did not use the Keurig for fear of fecal matter particulate contamination. Suggest to not put coffee maker in bathroom."

"I had a problem reserving an accessible room online using a third party website so I just booked a regular room hoping it would be easy to switch rooms if I arrived to the hotel early. When I arrived in Arcata I called the hotel toninq the front desk informed me they couldn't help me so they transferred me to They transferred me to customer relations where they informed me they couldn't switch rooms for me because I used a third party site to book the room. So when I arrived at the hotel I explained my issue and she immediately switched my room. The young lady behind the counter on June 17 in the evening was my hero. I wish I remembered her name. But I couldn't believe the run around BW gave me when I called but it did evenrually work out."
