"Absolutely charming! The owner and staff outdid themselves with welcoming us later in the evening and making sure to seat us in the quite lovely dining room for a hot meal before retiring to our spacious guest room upstairs. The room was today and had lots of thoughtful amenities: tea, coffee, a variety of snacks, lots of toiletries. Breakfast was very good and served with warmth and hospitality. Definitely a wonderful place to stay. "

"Staff was very friendly upon check in. The carpets on the way to the room were quite dirty and the bathroom floor hadn’t been mopped properly for a while - it was filthy. I spilt a little water onto the floor and as I wiped it with some tissue paper it was totally brown due to the dirt on the floor. It was 30 degrees celsius at least due to the heatwave, during my first night’s stay I noticed there was no fan. The following morning around 10am I asked the cleaner for a fan, she said they didn’t...

"Beautiful room and bathroom. Bar area and dining area lovely. Staff were really nice. The breakfast were good but the lunchtime food and evening food were not good at all very very disappointing. We took. some guests there one lunchtime and the food was terrible . We finished going somewhere else to eat at evenings. Don't think we would stay again..which is sad as it was a pretty hotel."

"Friendly staff. Upon arrival, there isn’t a person permanently at the check-in desk…not really a problem, but if there was a sign directing newcomers to the bar for assistance, that would help. I wish there were fridges in the rooms. But the shower was great, room was clean, and a kettle for tea/coffee worked great. And the food available at the attached pub is excellent. Just be careful as the pub is popular and while there is plenty of parking for residents, it’s shared with the pub. And the...

"Friendly and professional staff. Wonderful evening meal (the Halloumi Flatbread was delicious). Good parking, spacious bedroom well appointed. The chilled complimentary fruit juice & water was much appreciated after a 400 mile journey! My only issue was that room 4 was right over the outside seating area and I can only imagine that during World Cup season this could prove to be a problem. As it was I did have the creaking stairs (access for all guests) and loud music blasting from the bar below...
