"I'm usually pretty good at picking hotels - this was not one of my better choices. Reserved a room with a balcony, got no balcony. As we arrived at night and were tired after a long flight, we didn't notice til it was too late. Ordered room service, chicken sandwiches, which were inedible - old, tired, stringy chicken, served in the brown bag version of room service, which I despise. The bed was too low and oddly sloppy. "Affordable, clean, and fashionable hotel. My only criticism is that the mattress wasn’t the most comfortable."

"I stayed here for a work trip. The hotel was nice and very convenient to the red line. I wish the breakfast options were better and not quite so ridiculously expensive. But overall, a good place to be if you have to work in this part of DC."

"They don’t tell you that parking is not close, in a creepy parking lot, paying $45+$8 (parking tax for overnight parking)+1(parker membership)=$54 per night to park. There is a cool food hall nearby but that’s about it. The hotel accepts pets to keep that in mind."

"This was the worse hotel experience I have ever had. The place was filthy, bathroom was covered with pubic hair, dried blood spots on the bed coverings, smelled of mildew, not even an alarm clock, no toiletries, and the room had only open power outlet. Seriously you should be ashamed of having this hotel on your website."

"The hotel itself was clean and nice, so no issues with the room. The problem was the front desk experience. We had a night out in DC and chose not to drink and drive, so we booked and paid for a room ahead of time. When I (female) went to check in, I was told I couldn’t because of the time—even though the room was already paid for. Then my boyfriend went in right after me and had no issue getting the keys. The front desk worker, who appeared to be a gay male, was noticeably rude and dismissive...

"Really like the location from the train about 20 minutes from Amtrak and a nice park area. "

"It took a very long time for the shower to get hot. There are no hooks near the shower door to hang a robe or a towel. the vanity is a bit small to lay your towel on. You have to reach in to the back wall to turn the shower on and get wet while you try to turn the handle to the proper temp. No shower body wash only soap bars. The bed was very comfortable and the staff is great."

"This is a gorgeous hotel converted from the famous Riggs National Bank of Washington DC. It is elegant, comfortable and accomodating. The food at Cafe Rigg (we had breakfast) was superb. The hotel is close to Metro (Gallery Place), museums and theatres as well aas several really nice restaurants. We will stay here whenever we come to downtown DC."
