"Clean, mostly comfortable room - the pillows were the only let down. We had a really lovely evening meal in the pub and very good breakfast. There was an unpleasant smell of smoke in the hallway outside our room which was likely from the cigarette bin immediately outside. "

"Stayed here with my husband and 2 kids (5 and under). The room was spacious and clean. Parking was convenient. Breakfast had minimal items which was in line with expectations from past reviews (milk, cereal, porridge, bread, jam, coffee). My only issue was the shower, the way it is heated doesn't provide flexibility to get the temperature correct (3 settings of cold, luke warm, burning hot). We only stayed one night so it was fine. "

"Lovely hotel with a lot of character and history. Great location for sight seeing and scenery. Rooms were nice and cosy. Bit of a squeeze for 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) but we only stayed for 1 night. Breakfast to order was lovely. We ate dinner next door at the pub/ bar. "

"Our experience at this hotel was unfortunately very disappointing. When we arrived, the window in our room was open and the room was completely cold. We had to figure out how to program the electric heating system ourselves before going to dinner. After spending about two hours in the restaurant (the food was good), we returned to find the room temperature still around 10°C. I went to reception and asked for another room that would be properly heated. However, the manager did not believe me...

"Rooms were clean and loved the individual ‘huts’. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was fresh. The only complaint that I would have is that we arrived at the resort after 7pm and they would not accommodate us for dinner. There was a couple that checked in minutes before us who had no issue. After a long day of travelling, this was frustrating."

"Our hosts were very friendly and offered advise regarding Storm Amy's approach, where we could see the stags locally (which we did!) and regarding returning via Bealach na Ba which we did in dense cloud on the way in. We took the coast road back as the weather was worsening and the view non existent! Our room was very comfortable and cosy with underfloor heating in the bathroom. "Convenient location in Portree. Rooms are modest but well maintained. There's a public parking lot right out front which is nice though it probably gets filled quickly as visitors visit the town, and they ticket cars right as the free overnight period ends in the morning."
