"I feel bad that I have had to give a mix rating because I feel everything about our stay was going well until I suffered food poisoning. I woke up at 2am in a lot of pain and spent two hours in the bathroom vomiting. Earlier that day I had the king prawns and at dinner I had the flat iron steak. Immediately after my dinner I felt a discomfort but did not think anything of it. "Staff were welcoming, very friendly and efficient. The hotel was rather dated and looked tired, especially the rooms, although they were clean. The use of a guest lounge with tea, coffee and water was a bonus, although provisions hadn’t been topped up, nor the area tidied when we used it in the evening. More Choice of games would have been nice, too. Given the spectacular and unique location, the grounds appeared very neglected, apart from around the restaurant area. Very expensive for what...

"The Spa facilities were excellent as were the therapists. Top notch. Lovely helpful staff all round. Expected a bigger garden but it was still nice with good seating areas and lovely views. Would go again l, even if only for the spa."

"Beautiful facility with touches of old and new and great location. Rooms were very nice, modern bathrooms and air conditioning. Easy, secure onsite gated parking. Indoor pool and out door spa/hot tub was a great added benefit. Nice bar, did not use the restaurant so I can't share much other than nicely designed and well kept. Close to many things, longer walks but easy drives."
