Small room but all the essential amenities. Bed was comfortable which is my most important requirement. Not a chain, homey atmosphere, basic amenities, clean. Adequate. A smell of urine when opening the outer door of hallway. I’m assuming bc this is pet friendly. But our room did not smell. Could have used blackout curtains. Fast communication from host. Allowed late checkout to catch up on sleep!

The most memorable motel/hotel from our road trip because of the rustic decor. All the others rooms blend together in my mind. This was my first check-in that was done fully via text message and it worked out well. It can be fun to chat with the check-in person but in this case we were tired so it was nice being able to just head to the room and enter the door code. The room was clean and everything worked. The one surprise was that the tv was on when we arrived. I wasn’t expecting that but we noticed a movie we like was on so we watched it.

The Livingston Inn was very clean, and the facility itself has been well maintained. I liked the enclosed corridor outside the rooms because it provides some insulation. The room was small but made good use of hooks to hang jackets, clothing, handbags, etc. The price is very affordable for location close to a national park. We give it three stars because the bed was soft and the pillows firm, exactly opposite of the ideal. My wife and I each took a queen bed, which is a waste of linens, but we would have rolled into each if we'd stayed in the same bed. The coffee maker and coffee pods didn't match so I had to open up the pod and pour the coffee into the filter basket. Weird. Last, when we arrived at 5:30pm to check in, no one was on site. A note on the office door gave us a number to call. The phone rang and rang and went to voicemail but the mailbox was full. A manager called back within a minute or two and explained she was super busy and shortstaffed, then texted us the door code. Sorry about that, but we had driven 750 miles over 12.5 hours and wanted to shower and eat. Maybe the manager should erase all old voice mails so guests can at least leave a message.
