"My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Groton Inn. After an unfortunate experience at another hotel nearby, the Groton Inn truly saved the day, and I’m so glad we found it. "The property was well kept and that was impressive; however, the outlet in Room 204 near the closet did not work. The waste basket was left full for the two days we were in the room. The maid service came to our room and said she did not speak English but would return with her cell phone to translate. The maid service did not return with her cell phone to translate. "House was beautiful. Room and facilities were spotless. The hosts were brilliant as well. I’d missed going out for dinner in the area so they kindly made me an excellent grilled cheese sandwich. And when they realised I’d be walking half an hour the next day to my next stop, even dropped me off. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. If I’m ever back in the area I’ll be staying here."

"The room that we stayed had hardly any electric outlets that we could use."

"Our stay was generally pleasant, as the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. However, we noticed an unpleasant odor in the bathroom upon arrival. On a positive note, the breakfast was well-stocked and decent. Overall, it was a nice experience."

"Our room had the worst lighting of any hotel we have stayed in. The only mirror was in the bathroom. All other hotels we have stayed in had a full-length mirror so the ladies can check out their attire. The bathroom had no hooks to hang up bath towels. We used the coat hangers. "Its an ok property. Breakfast is not included and somehow I missed that when booking. There were missed cleaning opportunities, such as the walls in bathroom. For a two night stay we were only supplied with one towel each for the whole stay. There wasn't a freezer for ice packs, so had to use ice machine, another thing possibly overlooked when booking. Although it wasn't cheap, its definitely a low budget kind of stay."

"The staff was nice, it was clean, but it has a very bizarre smell. I think it might have been paint because there was painters tape still all over my room including covering some of the smoke detector. The bed springs were CRAZY. I was put in a two bed room and both mattresses were shot. If your primary purpose is rest and sleep, this isn’t it."
