"I got a great welcome from the Lady at Reception and check in was easy. The room had everything I needed and nothing I didn't. It was very clean and the room service every day was welcome. I really appreciate the cleaning staff restocking coffee and milk when needed and making the bed. The bed was very comfortable. Good size bathroom and plenty of hot water. "It’s a good apartment to stay for a couple of days but the location is not great. No shops/restaurants nearby. You definitely need a car. "

"The location is very good, and the room is a good size. The beds were a bit small for a taller person. One bedroom backed onto the hallway and had a window looking out to it, which meant that there was a lot of light in the bedroom at night. Most of the room was quite clean, but the shower was very mouldy."

"Traveled 6hours and wanted a hot shower and to settle into bed for an early morning Departure. When we turned up, our room hadn't been vacuumed. We were given a room and had to run the shower for 10mins, for it to get warm. THEN we tried to settle in bed but people were being loud/swearing etc outside the room and a child was running up and down outside our door so we had to request a new room. Thankfully, the staff member gave us another room and we were able to settle in but after travelling...

"A clean room and great people on staff. A warm welcome and airport pickup. I had issues with the TV but this was sorted quickly and they couldn't do enough. Oakwood is my 'go to' for overnight stays in Auckland both for domestic trips though Auckland and foreign travel. The people make this business. A great team!"

"Oh my gosh where do I start. This place was so disgusting that we couldn't even contemplate staying in that filth. The place was an absolute dump. As soon as we parked our vehicle the vibe of that place was already telling me to leave. The area was filthy with rubbish outside the room and surrounding areas. The pics on their website did not reflect the lodge at all. The parking was like a matchbox. After ringing to try to cancel we were offered another room. Giving them the benefit of the doubt...

"Room was refurbished on the inside but the fit and finish was sub par - to the point where security was a concern for me. Most concerning was the flimsy thin ply patched over the main entrance door. The door between the lounge and bedroom wouldn’t shut due to bad fit / installation. Big gaps between the external sliding door and wall create drafts for wind and extra outside noise"

"Basic. Shower didn’t work well. Rubbish under the bed. Seemed clean overall? Fridge, kettle etc all good. Decor - not good. Lots of noise. Didn’t expect it to be luxurious but was more basic than I realised. Location was excellent (with a car)."
