Fantastic location. Wakable to so many things. I stayed as I was runnng the Marathon andnitnwas the perfect location to catch the busses, gear check and finish line. What makes this hotel great os the staff. After my experience staying at the W during the Marathon, I will consider more W hotels going forward.
They made my stay seamless and provided an exceptional human touch.
On Marathon Monday there was coffee gatorage, fruit and granola bars starting at 5:30 AM. THANK YOU! I grabbed these and had it to get ready in the morning, and even zome gatorade and snacks for recovery post race.
What blew me away though was that when I returned to the hotel after the race there was staff lined up clapping runners in, and presented me with a frame that included my name and finishing time. They had cute Boston finisher cookies, too.
WOW. WOW. WOW. THAT is exceptional customer experience.
I only wished that I had recorded it- but quite frankly the gesture was so heartwarming it was bringing tears to my eyes and I didn't think of it at the time. It will go down as something I remember fondly about my marathon and the city of Boston. I hope the staff reads this and knows that that gesture meant a lot. I trained for years to get there, and the staff - and the city of Boston made me feel exceptional that day.
If the hotel happens to, or any runners happen to, have any videos of this from the runners perspective walking in, I would love to get my hands on it!
