"Disappointing Stay Despite the Hotel’s Charm
I had reserved a Golden Superior Room with Direct Sea View, and I sincerely wish I had not. The room we were given on the second floor bore little resemblance to the pictures shown online. The balcony was positioned at the side of the room rather than offering the direct sea view we had expected. We could not even open the window because of the noise and diesel fumes.
When we raised our concerns, the hotel staff told us that the hotel was fully...

"Cecil Steigenberger is always my favorite hotel in Alexandria. Excellent location, and very nice well maintained. However, for my 2 days stay in level 5 i faced a problem with low water pressure and no hot water as they said the boiler under maintenance. Shut down hot water in any such big hotel need to be announced and the guest will adsorb this problem or not before they come and stay and make in unpleasant surprise. I think hotel management need to take it seriously, otherwise they will...

"The reception was a huge problem. They didn’t have my reservation anywhere. I had to wait for over an hour and call Expedia support to get my room.
The room was clean and it had a wonderful view.
The place was extremely overcrowded. The pool water was filthy. The pool bathrooms were filthy and the beach was absolutely disgusting, totally filled with trash. "

"I wish I could give this place minus.
Avoid if u are traveling alone or generally are a woman. Or if u are a breathing human being.
The receptionist came to my room by false pretense there was water problem at 23:00 and made advances.
I asked him to leave, he said sorry but it was too late. I was shocked and pissed.
Packed my things and left the hotel the morning after.
Contacted hotels, com to complain, and now the person says i was the one making advances. Unbelievable, i guess as a woman i...

"It was not a VILLA ! !
It was an APARTMENT.
Very NOISY !
LOUD MUSIC ALL NIGHT AND ALL DAY LONG ! !
My wife had to wash all bedding sheets.
We have to buy towels and all kind of detergents.
DOGs, LOTS of DOGSs and CATS everywhere in the area !
To be fair, the sea water and the sandy beach were very good.
The property manager was helpful, as well."
