"I found the owner to be kind andchelpful. My thoughts: The Cottage is directly next to a busy road, which l did not know. I had to park in a tiny space in front of the cottage and luckily had a small car, very tight parking with heavy traffic hindering any manourvres. The room and Cottage were quite dated, perfectly clean, but expensive for a basic 1980s type decor. The shower over the bath was either extremely hot or very cold, l tried to find a warm temperature but never did. I was disapointed...

"The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food and beer is good and great value. Parking is a bit tight, so arrive early if you are checking in! If you want to eat, make sure you reserve a table. We found out the hard way on Saturday lunchtime that you can't always get a meal, even if you are a resident. Other than that, it's a good place to stay. It's quiet at night due to the location and the fact that the bar isn't open until late."

"This is an old style cottage in a rural setting, which does'nt have the best access, however once there the location is surrounded by woodland and fields which are pleasant. The Lady of the house is a charming individual who was welcoming. The breakfast catered for dietary needs and was wholesome. In general a comfortable stay with no frills, but enjoyable none the less. We would use Bridge Cottage again if we visited the area."
