"The hotel was good overall, and I would stay there again. However, the “hot” pool was not actually hot — it was only slightly warm. I also had a negative experience with one of the staff members when I asked if they could open the door between the hotel and the garage. She responded rudely and pointed out that there was a sign saying the door was out of service."

"I got 2 rooms for 2 nights, the staff was great, breakfast was great, but we had our hearts set on the pool it was the biggest part of our stay other than my husband going to the wrestling event, however unbeknownst to us the swimming pool was being worked on and not a drop of water was in it. They moved my sister to several rooms due to broken pull out beds, and to throw in the towel she found a roach crawling on the wall in the bathroom. "I loved how I got in early and they were quick to get me accommodated into a room quick. Extremely happy with this hotel!"

"Disappointed. The parking area is small due to large trucks using hotel. First room had a large air cleaner running due to the smell. Requested different room and the entry door stuck so bad you had to use your shoulder to open and close it. That room also smelled. We travel with a dog and have no problem paying the pet fee, realizing that special attention is needed as far as cleaning. But the smells in the 2 rooms did not come from animals. Will not be back"

"The place was clean and the staff was very helpful! However There was only 1 of the 2 bottles of "complimentary" (aka $2/ea.) water in our room when we arrived. The A/C was not working. We were woken up by construction very early Saturday morning. The final straw was when we returned to our room that night and could hear 2 small dogs barking in the room next door. Not something the hotel could prevent, but was the last thing we could put up with after trying to work with the other issues....

"I stayed in the McCulloch Suite in the Sion Bass House (one of the two adjacent historic homes which make up this property). The suite was very spacious and clean. The check-in instructions which were emailed the day of check-in were very clear. There was a folding ironing board, iron, lots of extra towels, literature related to the history of the property and the city (for anyone who might be interested). "The hotel is going through renovation. There's a lot of construction debris. On Saturday morning construction noise started at 6:30am. I found it dishonest there's no mention of construction on the hotel booking website or third party website. Luckily the room we got has already gone through the renovation so it was clean. The breakfast was okay, stuff were friendly."

"I have stayed a couple. It's not the nicest place in the world, but the manager is the nicest man in the world. Super friendly to all the guests he talks to. It is clean and it is in a nice convenient area. The breakfast is basic and when I came down 15 minutes after everything was put away he offered to bring everything out again for me. Of course it's not a high-end hotel so don't expect anything special."

"The room was comfortable enough. There are no grab bars in the shower/bath. There are no coffee makers in the rooms. If you want coffee or decaf in your room either bring your own coffee and maker, or instant. I burned myself twice trying to carry coffee to my room. The breakfast lady is gold and the food she prepares is good."
