From entering the home we were greeted by our wonderful hostess Abigail, we found her to be friendly, polite and very accommodating with answering questions and providing information about the area. "Exactly as described with a few pleasant surprises like wine and cheese cocktail hour and a delicious breakfast of sweet waffles with praline syrup, and savory sausage and potatoes out in the courtyard. Loved the Oglethorpe room plus Charles was very knowledgeable about the homes history - way better than google! Street parking (payment required 8am-5pm) was a bit tricky but staff was very helpful in guiding us! Savannah is definitely walkable from this home. Highly recommend!"

"Our only concern, as seniors, was the steep stairs. We were in a downstairs room one night, with stairs down to the first floor. Then we moved to a second floor room, with even steeper stairs. Perhaps a dumb waiter to help with luggage? But the property is lovely, beautifully appointed rooms, excellent service, wonderful staff. Highly recommend!"

"Overall the hotel is great. Location is amazing. It’s very atmospheric. However we got a room on first floor and we were waken up at 6am by someone exercising in the room upstairs with fitness ball. We’ve heard every move through the ceiling. Once exercises were over the guy with leaf blower showed up and entertained us for next 20 minutes. I would recommend the hotel but on higher floors."

It sits across the street from a beautiful park and is within walking distance to everything you would want to experience in Savannah. Our room needed some definite upgrades that would be very inexpensive yet would make a huge difference in the room and its appearance. The carpet was old and dirty, bathroom...
